Rights and responsibilities

Respect, cultural safety and clear communication help us work together.

Your rights

  • Be treated with respect and receive culturally appropriate support.
  • Receive safe services and clear information.
  • Be involved in decisions and ask questions.
  • Seek support if you are unhappy and make a complaint.

Working together

  • Respect staff, mentors, community members and property.
  • Provide current information and let the team know if you cannot attend.
  • Participate without violence or threatening behaviour.
  • Discuss program expectations, including alcohol and drug requirements, with staff.

Questions or concerns

Ask a staff member to explain these expectations or help you raise a concern. You can use the feedback and complaints pathway if you are unhappy with your experience.
