What happens when you call

Ask the team about current service arrangements and what to expect when you call.

Knowing a little about Brother to Brother can help you decide whether to call.

Before you call

Brother to Brother is a phone-support service for Aboriginal men. You can ask about support with relationships, family violence, parenting, alcohol and other drugs, or coping with difficult times.

Who answers?

The line is staffed by Aboriginal men, including Elders.

You can ask who you are speaking with and what information they need from you.

Talking through a next step

You can describe what you need help with and ask what support is available.

Ask about the options available and what a next step could involve.

Privacy and your call

Before sharing personal information, you can ask how it will be handled, who may see it and what the limits of confidentiality are.

If your call is not answered

If you cannot reach the service, use the service directory to find another support option. If someone is in immediate danger, call 000.

Accessible ways to make contact

Contact Dardi to ask which contact options are available and discuss what would help you use the service.

If someone is in immediate danger

Call Triple Zero (000).
