The Women’s Healing Journey offers a service for family members of men in the Ngarra Jarranounith program and for the family of participants in the Bramung Jaarn program who are affected by family violence.
‘Family’ is defined broadly and includes partners, ex-partners, aunties, mothers, Elders, children, nieces and siblings.
The program takes a strength-based approach to healing the effects of trauma and building safety, so women are empowered to better take care of themselves and their families and build healthier relationships.
The Women’s Healing Journey also aims to advocate for Aboriginal women in the community and build the capacity of non-Indigenous service providers to meet the cultural needs of women accessing their services.
