The BlakAbolition Community Day brought community together at Aunty Alma Thorpe’s Gathering Place for a powerful day of collective care, culture and connection. We shared food and coffee, exchanged pre-loved toys and books, contributed to the community food bank, and heard stories of resistance from Blak knowledge holders Uncle Gary Foley and Mina Murray. The day created a safe and welcoming space for First Nations people to connect, learn and celebrate together.
